Richard Butler Creagh commented on the sponsorship of the event:
"We are delighted to be supporting the Henley Rugby Club this year. It is such an important aspect of Henley on Thames and we are looking forward to a great evening and making the most of the new banqueting facilities."
The club has had a good year, with the recent completion of Phase Two of their building developments, meaning that the club will have the best facilities in the league. The Henley Hawks have retained a strong squad from last season, as well as taking on some new talented players. They are competing well in the National League 2 South Division, currently ranking at 6th place in the tables. The Women’s Hawks have also had a very positive year currently ranking in 3rd place. The team has been building on the success of previous seasons and are looking to expand to add a second team as well as a junior girls team.
The positive results across the board, as well as the building developments off the pitch, provides a lot to look forward to for the rest of the year, as well as plenty to celebrate at the Club’s Winter Sporting Supper. Capacity for the event has been increased due to the popularity, with there now being over 200 guests in attendance. The event will be celebrating Henley’s sporting excellence as well as raising money for the club. It is set to be a great event with the previous two dinners being a roaring success and the proceeds going to Henley Rugby Football Club and local charities.
